Trieu Chau Assembly Hall (or Chaozhou Assembly Hall) is a large assembly hall in Hoi An equally to Phuc Kien Hall. However due to its location on Nguyen Duy Hieu, which is not the main road in Hoi An, Trieu Chau Assembly Hall is bringing the quiet look, peaceful beauty.
Overview
In stated by the Trieu Chau Chinese fled China to apply for land in Vietnam. The house was used as a place for community activities and specific beliefs from Trieu Chau. Trieu Chau Assembly Hall worships General Phuc Ba who tames the waves for smooth trading voyages.
Architecture
The hall is a sophisticated structure with finely carved wood frame, motifs decorated like pictures telling fairy tales. Additionally Trieu Chau exhibits exquisite porcelain, representing talented craftsmanship of ancient artisans.
Every year, descendants of the Trieu Chau people gather at the hall from the 1st to 16th of the first lunar month to express their gratitude to ancestors.
