Hoi An full-moon Lantern festival – The night of the 14th (lunar calendar) every month.
This is the most simple, frequent yet still charming festival of Hoi An. From this festival, you can expect a night scenery lit up by hundreds of twinkling lanterns floating on the river which is a main activity of the festival. The people of Hoi An, tourists could buy a small lantern for about 5000 Dong to drop it on Thu Bon River. They say after letting the lantern go, you could make a wish. Together the festival makes the town a charming, romantic and blessing place to take strolling around.
